Kareri Lake is another high mountain lake with clean water, sourced from the glacier water of Minkiani Peak of Dhauladhar Mountain Range of Himalayas.
Kareri Lake trek is open between March to Oct. This trail is long but enjoyable easy trek.

In Kareri Lake there is sufficient space for camping, all you need to carry along is Sleeping bag, Mat and food stuff.
The Lake hosts temples dedicated to Lord SHIVA and SHAKTI.
From Kareri Lake, one can head to Baleni Pass and Minkiani Pass and Lam Dal…longest high mountain lake of Dhauladhar.

Between June to mid September, you will find Gujjars and shepherds around Kareri Lake.

    1. hi there are no tea stalls on Kareri Trail…but you’ll find Gaddi huts and there is only one tea shop by the side of Kareri Lake…and hut with wooden flooring but no doors….though it will be safe to stay for night in…

  1. Hello Kate, thank you for bringing this to our notice, we had hired some guy to moderate our website and he randomly approved all comments without moderation and validation, so we have removed that guy and also deleted those comments. Regrets for the trouble.
